i’m not sure if my question is a legitimate one for this forum, but i am trying to scrape up as much information as possible on schools abroad anywhere i can.

my name is MW Ryu and i am from the far east–English is a secondary language. i want to pursue a masters in the field of global media and communications. could anyone give me some idea as to where a good place to study would be–the US or UK? what are the pros and cons?

for the US i was thinking about applying for mit cms. and for the UK i want to go for lse global media and communications. but i don’t know which would be a better school to study in, and which would offer better jobs. i don’t even know if these are the better schools to apply for to earn a masters in global media and communications.

i’m 28 years old, and have worked in the media and communications sector for several years (online, mobile, & games). i believe i have a strong career record to boost my efforts to further my studies abroad.

the UK does not seem to require a gre, whilst mit and many american postgrads do. i don’t think my career will help much in getting into a top postgrad school for a masters in the states. that is why i am quite discouraged from applying to a school in the US. but if schools in the US are undeniably better than the UK in this area of studies i think i should prepare for the gre.

i am caught in a cruel conundrum, and am really looking forward to some feedback. thank you.
