Math for March SAT 2009

When do we get our scores back?

i thought the math was pretty easy, but a lot of the vocab were tough and i was totally worn out by the time of the indian question (the fact that it was rather difficult didn’t help either)

but ok, this is one of the only maths i wasnt sure of:
the one with the line l and two triangles with the same base on the line which both had exterior heights (that werent drawn), it was like point m is 10 away from line l and the ratio of the areas is either 4 to 3 or 3 to 4, i forget

i feel like i read it wrong. does anyone know what im talking about? did you get 7.5? it was grid in btw

April 7 online

Edit: Sorry about the double post…

Reading through the thread about the complaints for the f(ab) grid-in problem not actually being a legit function, the function log base 6th root of 2 of x satisfies the problem… I used that to check my work when I was going everything for the third time…

Superscoring is basically taking the best scores for each section (M,CR,W) from multiple test sittings and adding them up to get your total score.

I believe I got 40/3 for that one.

A1=(1/2)bh
3=(1/2)b(10)
3=5b
b=(3/5)

A2=(1/2)bh
4=(1/2)(3/5)h
4=(3/10)h
h=40/3

Uhh you copied down your answers?

Yeah, I did.

^ohhh goodness…you’re lucky you didn’t get caught

Why is that not allowed?

ohh nvm i misread that
i thought you meant that you compared your answers with your friend during the test after copying them down.

No, I didn’t compare until we had both finished. It wasn’t that helpful though other than counting up the # of answers we disagreed on

math was vicious to me. and i just found out that the math section i did terribly on was NOT experimental.

Math was terrible. I cant believe i did so bad, i thought that would be my best!!!

I do not remember the 5000 one at all? Can someone please refresh my memory? :)

I don’t remember it really, but I do remember taking the difference between 6250 and 1250 on the grid-in.

@2468: It’s okay, I felt the same too =/ But don’t hope for the worst just yet, there may be hope :D

First term is 2, 2nd is 10, 3rd is 50, what is the diff between the 5th and 6th?

**** me and basic geometry. It’s been so long since I did it, why can’t they ask me to take the derivative of something instead?

Oh and the absolute value question… ***!?

I got the f(ab) one though =D

Yeah, the ones that took me the longest were the absolute value question and the x/p pie chart because I kept doubting my answers.
