Math Progression

I want to do biomedical engineering for my undergraduate degree. Would taking AB as a junior and BC as a senior hurt my appeal to selective colleges? There are kids in my grade who are on track to take Linear Algebra in senior year so I’m kind of afraid haha.

Thanks for the input

it hurt you if you do bad. It help you if you do great.

Colleges want you to take the most rigorous course load that you can do well in that your particular school offers. That’s the best way to go.

Do what you feel comfortable with. If you have five other AP Classes, this is fine. If you’re a math genius, take summer school to skip a year.

Pre-Calc is seen as the on-track class senior year for math. Kids who do Linear Algebra in HS are outliers. You will be ahead of the pack doing just AB. BC will be icing to the cake.

Seeing as BC is 60% AB, if you like math you should have no problem doing BC straight away. Depends on how your school offers it though.
