Matlab

which classes at UVa teach/use matlab? preferably courses for second-year e-schoolers

also do any courses use Solid Works?

Not many classes “teach” Matlab. It took me until third year signals I and II to really learn Matlab and it’s functions in signal processing.
What exactly are you looking to do with it?
ECE200 teaches Mathcad and some Matlab

ECON 437 (Empirical Finance)

A second-year e-schooler wouldn’t be taking that barboza ;)

You get some good experience with Mathcad in ENGR 162, but not really Matlab.

I know but a lot of jobs want Matlab over Mathcad

Ahhh. Well, Matlab isn’t that difficult to pick up on your own (laughs). My peers and I basically self-taught ourseleves Matlab in our signals course. You can download it for free from ITC and then go online and search for user manuals. You really probably only need the basics, although it depends on what your major is
