MAY 2005 SAT TEST – FORM ONE (verbal experimental)

about the maths, i think it is pretty easy, do you guys remember the question about the joke, 1+3+9+27=30? is it right?

all the passages except IMOGENE were fairly easy to follow. did anyone get something about lawyers (dual passage). it was two different views on whether tactics used by lawyers to persuade juries were justified or not.

son of liberty: “yeah i had the imogene one.
imogene, environmentalists, fences, congo… am i missing any?”

I don’t rmbr about fences…you rmbr any details from that?

merudh:
do you remember more questions from complete sentence?

i said flat means “unvarying.”

Gosh why do i not remember this question about the elections. Sorry, but do you remember what the question asked exactly?

why did he ask the rhetorical questions in the beggining? was it to cast doubt or to confirm a misconception?

did you get “lambast” for one of the sentence comps?

wait lol… the one about fences was from a practice section i did last nite, nvm. haha.

Mayflower: “1+3+9+27=30?”

???

First, it said to discount george, so the answer was 39.

um the ones with like 5 sec. completions were really easy…it was the one with like 8 that suprisingly hard. But off the top of my head the ones I rmbr are
petulant . complaisent <not sure if spelled right
…everything else is a blur

although I rmbr I left one with ferment in the question stem…blank.

Was the environmentalists one on the same section as the space stuff?

for the sc where it says something turns into a semisolid mass, I put “coagulate” but i was debating between that and ferment. what did you all get?

i thought complaisent was easy though, cuz they had it in official SAT book…what else? in practice book, i usually get 4-6 error from SC, and 2-3 from CR, so that is what i am really worried of
i didnt get lambast, i think i omitted it
???

First, it said to discount george, so the answer was 39.??? i am confused, where did george come from?? discount??? are you talking about sb said a joke to 3 ppl, 3 said to 3, and each of 3 said to 3?

yeah the joke one was 39.

what was the question with lambast in it? (or the other answer choices?) I cant remember what i put and im trying to remember…

it was about critics and a book.

I said “to cast doubt” for the questions that were asked…though that one might be experimental, right?

coagulate
ohh…i remember, i put coagulate, i am pretty sure
could anybody explain the maths 39 to me please

said “to cast doubt” for the questions that were asked…though that one might be experimental, right?
_____________what is this one? ohh…i don’t remember~

Mayflower: “3+9+27=39?”
_________stupid me., i think i got it right, i probably did put 39, ;cuz i know the method and rest of it left to calcultor
or, do they have a choice of 40?? if that is the case, i am scre*ed

mayflower… the 39 thing was a grid-in.

no the doubt thing isnt exp. it was the speech given about the future and stuff. He goes up there in the beginning and is like “the future is ahead of us, right?”

oh, the question, i put a question for conventional beliefs

why didn’t anybody discuss about the illusion passage?
