I’ll be taking the MCAS (Mass) this spring for english and math. I’m interested in purchasing a prep book soon so I have enough time to prepare.

What do you recommend? I found some by Barrons and one by Princeton Review. I hear great things about the SAT book by PR, so I’m sorta leaning toward that…

Well, to be honest, the MCAS doesn’t require preparation. The math and English sections are really pretty basic… What you do on the MCAS in 10th grade doesn’t even compare with the SATs. I also don’t know of any MCAS prep books.

That’s good news. Our teachers put so much pressure on us about it. I did pretty good on the 8th grade version so I dont expect bad scores this time anyways. I just want to make sure I can do good enough to qualify for a scholarship because my parents have been bugging me about the fact that one of their friend’s daughter received one.
