@johuachang2311 congrats! were you further review required before your decision? also, did you receive an e-mail or did Minerva update by itself? (I’m an international as well who applied to science)

do they send decisions on the weekends?

Hello,I submitted all the required documents and my checklist says that everything is received (I submitted all from beginning of February) yet it still says further review required. Any idea on why this is the case ? And does anyone else have the same thing ?

@Odeeb123 i’m in the same position as you haha, what faculty did you apply for?

I applied to the faculty of arts and the faculty of engineering. (If u don’t mind me asking what was ur Sat score (English score and math score alone ) and sat subject scores if you’ve done them )

@Odeeb123 @drmcmuffin If your stats are at or slightly above the published minima then decisions will be late in coming. At this point you are essentially on an unofficial waitlist.

I asked a friend of mine who got in and he said the deadline to reply to the offer is May1. Does that mean that people on the “waiting list “ won’t get offers until May 1?

@TomSrOfBoston yeah I suppose, I spoke to the Minerva online support and they essentially told me it’s just a matter of time before somebody updates my portal and I receive a decision. Funny thing is, I’m above the minima for one of my programs, and at the minima for the other one - my status is at FRR. However, a friend of mine who’s way above the minima for his program choice has been on RDP for the past 2 months and applied in December, so I guess it’s just a matter of waiting!

My portal did get an update on the checklist saying that ‘Reference letter 01’ was received, even though I never submitted one from my side. Was hoping that this would be some sort of a good sign!

@Odeeb123 I applied to the Faculty of Engineering & the Faculty of Science - I’m an International so my SAT wasn’t required, but I submitted it anyway. I have a 1510 (780 M, 730 EBRW). No subject tests taken.

@drmcmuffin do u think it’s a good sign that we haven’t gotten a response as it means our applications are still in the race or are we unlikely to receive an offer ?

Cause for many other UNIS people on the waiting list are unlikely to receive offers.

@Odeeb123 At this point our status is very similar to ‘Reviewed: Decision Pending’. When I spoke to Minerva support online, they explained that if your checklist is complete and your status is FRR, then it’s just a matter of time before someone physically checks your profile and makes an update. So technically, I guess there might still be some hope. Hopefully, we’ll hear something soon. Are you International? What are your grades/ how are they compared to the minima?

I spoke to Minerva online support and I was given the exact same message. I am an international student in the UAE. All my marks are above the minima so hopefully we hear back soon .

@drmcmuffin Even if they do not ask specifically, they expect you to have given ACT/SAT and the SAT subject tests also, esp for Engineering. I am International applicant from India and even though submitted all my results in time I have been on RDP for more than two and half months now.

@bhopali That’s understandable - at least their website doesn’t explicitly say SAT’s are required for Internationals, but I’d given the SAT 1 anyway so I thought it was worth sending in since I had a high score. I don’t necessarily think it’s detrimental to not submit a Subject Score though. When did you submit your application? Did you end up submitting subject scores as well?

Hello! I need help understanding what happened with my McGill decision. I was waitlisted to arts and am not sure why.

Canadian/American citizenship(US High School)
4.0gpa(unweighted)
33ACT
700/720 SAT
670 US History, 660 Math II

Should I not have submitted my lower SAT and SAT subject test scores?

@thepinkbinder Your subject test scores are still above the minimum of 650. That is a head scratcher. You may want to call admissions for clarification.

@drmcmuffin I have submitted my ACT (35), SAT Subject tests ( Math 2 800, Physics 760, Chemistry 760). Still waiting the decision

Got my decision, refused for Faculty of Engineering & Faculty of Science (International Applicant)
