McIntire Admission Profile

Does McIntire publish admissions profiles/statistics similar to what UVA does in terms of the overall student body? If not, why?

Crickets?

I like to think about it this way: McIntire is a very prestigious program. They want a variety of students to apply so that they can get more people to choose from. If they post a profile then that would limit the diversity within the applicant pool. For instance, if they say that you need a really high GPA then most people would simply focus on their GPA and they would get a bunch of book worms. McIntire wants interesting people and posting a profile would certainly make it less interesting.

GPA is all that matters. My question was why do they not publish the demographic profile of the admitted class like they do for the entering freshman.

GPA is not all that matters. The statistics this year shows that they admitted a student with a 3.3 overall GPA. And my friend’s son last year was denied with a 3.8 (he had no extracurriculars).
