<p>Has anyone taken a medical leave for stress and depression? How hard/easy was it to go through the return process? </p>
<p>My son wasn’t at Cornell, but he had to take a leave for mental health issues at two different schools. Each university was wonderful. He quit one week into a semester once, and at the end of March the other time, and both schools even refunded all of his tuition and fees! Schools want to make sure their students take care of themselves, so they will work with you.</p>

<p>@bulldogs3 – I have not looked into this, but I would just call and speak to someone if your child’s college’s Office of Student Services. Just google ‘Cornell Engineering/ILR/whatever Office of Student Services’ and call someone there and have the conversation. You may be able to find the answer by googling the subject also. don;t bother trying to search within Cornell’s website; you will find your answer more easily by googling. Their website is excellent and provides tons of info, but it is not easy to find by searching within the university site. Good luck.</p>
