Many years ago I had opportunities to meet carolyn, binx, mootmom and thumper’s DD.
An anticipated meeting with countingdown and latetoschool proved difficult to schedule. IIRC, it was about the time LTS stopped traveling.
I would love to connect with folks who live near or visit the DC area.
Sounds like someone needs to create an app.

I do not have FB, but I am LinkedIn with several CCers. Met one nice CCer at a science conference when we realized that her husband would be attending the same conference Mr. B and I were attending! Almost made it to MOfWC’s house, but my travel plans were derailed when a school presentation got scheduled messing up my schedule. Hope there will another chance!
I met the SON of a CC poster… he was in Denver for the 08 Democratic National Convention, i.e., the nomination of Barack Obama for president. Said son was at a fancy-pants-elite-university who got a last-minute ticket to cover the Convention for his school paper… because it was last minute, he couldn’t find a hotel room, so dad asked on CC. I offered to house the boy… and couldn’t back out when I found out he was batting for the other team. And I don’t mean sexually, but rather politically. My house was covered in Obama signs. The entire CITY was covered in Obama signs. Yea. It was awkward. We got into a political fight over dinner.

Fun! I will have a meeting at D.C. Convention center 5/19-5/25, but few strict obligations.
I met with another cc poster with DC attending the same school as mine. We keep in touch and check our notes on our kids regularly. I should add that we are from the same city so it makes meeting IRL easy. I also in a FB group for our cc class year and really enjoy conversations we have, love to see pictures of the kids and following their journey.
I love this thread. I aspire to meet a fellow CC’er someday!!
@cardinal2020mom and I met here, then met in person, and then spent an admit weekend together. And now I can’t live without her. Our kids didn’t even end up at the same school but that hasn’t stopped us from meeting for lunch, texting and calling. She is my favorite thing about CC.
I got onto CC when I was comparing two LAC in our state. One poster who answered my question was from right in the neighborhood and our older Ss were on the same soccer team in 1st grade. She and I were both involved in school and youth orchestras, over many years. She was shocked when I PMd her that we knew each other IRL.
I treasure my CC friendships.
