to clarify, Portal = Document Center?
No. The Document Center is where they upload your decision letter, scholarship letter, and like next steps right after you apply. The portal is where you accept admission, and then if you commit, it’s where you register for classes.

Son was given merit of $15k for each year. Applied to Dietrich and Honors college. Intended major will be a combination of two or three different programs if he gets into HC. He applied back in September. Stats:
OOS
4.7 WGPA
1500 SAT
National Merit Finalist
All 5s on AP exams
Capstone scholar (well - should be after research is done)
Gold seal of biliteracy in Spanish
Three varsity sports and captain of two
Clubs and some leadership and awards

When were you notified about the merit?
Not the PP, but my OOS CS kid applied in September and heard back about admission in about a month. And then merit notification came a few weeks later.
Any more info on honors college notifications? And should we expect Chancellors finalist notifications soon?

As I recall in the past it trailed Honors, but not long–like a week give or take.

I’ve heard today for announcement, but my daughter’s document center is still unavailable since yesterday, so no way to check it. I assume they will email once decisions are made.

Seems they upload decisions in the document center at 7pm est. I would not rely on emails based on experience with admission and merit decisions. D24’s email was 2 months delayed!

He got a letter in the mail a few weeks after admission saying “congratulations on your scholarship” and he went into the portal and saw it there. It was weird - no email or fanfare it just appeared.
Good point. Yes, she will attempt to check again today around 7PM.
Until now, we’ve never been unable to access the Document Center, (though we did get a merit offer added with no email or fanfare) so hopefully this will be resolved when they announce.
I note at the beginning of the process, there was some sort of access glitch for my S24 that the Help Desk was able to resolve.
At this point you might as well wait, but if for some reason this issue persists, I’d give them a call. They were very nice.

Did someone previously say 7 est or 7:30?
No update for us too. I am guessing 7pm on Friday would be the day/time it comes out. Does anyone know how many students they get for honors?
They say on the website they enroll about 700 first year students in Honors. That implies they offer it to more.

My kid cannot access her document center either.

Our daughter had to change her password recently and after that, the former link stopped working for the Document portal, so she called Tech Support at Pitt and she can access again.
No news yet on decision for Honors here.
