Merit scholarships

I’m wondering if anyone can provide some insight on which colleges I would have a chance at being competitive at receiving a good merit scholarship from. My gpa is 4.0, sat score is 1430, rank is top 1%, I took a probably the hardest courses I could at my school, and I have fairly good extracurriculars. My intended major is biology. If any schools that come to mind don’t require css profile that would likely be a plus for me because my parents are divorced and my father and his wife make much more than my mother who I live with. Also, I’m not sure if this matters, but I’m Hispanic (minority). Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

There’s a thread with a list of automatic full ride and full tuition scholarships near the top of this section of this website. That’s a great place to start.

What year are you in HS now? If you are a senior…get your application sent today to University of Alabama. You would get decent merit aid there.

You have likely missed some application deadlines for merit aid consideration at some places…that require applications by December 1.

Here is the 2017 thread for scholarships…but do check the college websites as policies do change.
