<p>I put my Social Security number on a job application- the boss looked at the application and didn’t care about it and put it under the counter where ANYONE including his employees could see my SSN. I am so worried. They have my phone number, email, name, school place and phone number, personal reference and their numbers, my age and an idea of when my birthday is, my new home address, I’m not sure if the boss and his employees are trust able people- I know I messed up, this is my first job application and I didn’t know better. What do they need for a background check, does the background check show my birthday or reveal any other personal information?</p>
