^ Agree completely.
I’ve never cried as much as I have this week! The way the President looked as Michelle, they way he spoke about his daughters. The send off for the VP just had me in tears. I’ve never seen two men that seem to love and admire their wives son much. Their bromance will go down in history. I love the Obamas and the Bidens!!
Going to miss them all! Check this out - the President was apparently able to get some writing done in his last weeks in the White House:

He doesn’t cease to impress me.
An influential writer, thinker, and powerful behind-the-scenes adviser: that’s what I see for him in his post-White House years.
@BunsenBurner not just the Harvard Law Review article, but also this: http://science.sciencemag.org/content/early/2017/01/06/science.aam6284.full and this: http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp1616577
I watched Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech too. I love to look at the faces in the audience while she was talking, they are very telling who they are. So many passionate people this year. Weirdly I’m so sure this is the greatest nation on earth, so glad to witness these past years and so proud to be part of it. Obama-Biden years will be a highlight in the history book.
I get goosebumps even reading this thread. The Obamas and the Bidens are so well loved. I watched the Legacy of Michelle Obama on CNN last night. I couldn’t stop tearing up. I am so grateful that I saw such a special first lady in the White House. I love everything about her.
I recorded the Dateline special with the President last night and have my DVR programmed to catch 60 Minutes this Sunday evening for the last Presidential interview. Like many, I’ve shed a few tears as I watch all these farewells.
I think the Obama family will come to be more appreciated over time. They didn’t just talk family values, they exhibited them in front of the nation for 8 years. Michelle Obama has a sense of humor that we haven’t seen in the WH before from a First Lady, at least in my lifetime.
