Did the honors college acceptance come in an email or was it posted in their portal?

My son received an email and there was a new tab for ā€œHonorsā€ in the portal. The email and the new portal tab happened on the same day. But, we had actually noticed the honors scholarship listed in the portal a few days before the email.

Do you have the ability to see the honors scholarship in your portal? Just wondering, as my son was also accepted to the honors college, but we don’t see a scholarship listed? We are in state.

Yes, it’s on the Scholarship tab in the portal. It’s listed in between the Presidential Scholarship and the study abroad scholarship.

Anyone in state that has been accepted hear about being accepted into the honors program and receiving a scholarship?

What are her stats? My son applied 9/15 and is still waiting. Packaging major. But I don’t think State admits by major.

she has a 3.4 with a very good essay plus lots of strong extracurriculars. She also attends a high school close to michigan state that is very rigorous.

S26 got admit today for Business major with Presidential scholarship ($10K/yr) & Study Abroad. Will wait for invitation from Broad CoB in Feb. Does anyone know whether an early admit with scholarship will translate to invitation from Broad?

Stats: 3.69 UW GPA (8 APs, 3 DE), 1490 SAT, applied on 10/27, OOS, Decent ECs, Internship, Above Average Essay.

My S24 stats were lower than your S26 stats. He got a quick acceptance to the U (I think it was a 3 day turn around) and the same scholarships as your S. Accepted into Broad in the first round in the Spring. So I would bet your S is going to be admitted.

Unfortunately, S24 acceptance was very late compared to Kelley at IU, and by then he already had his heart set on Kelley. I really liked Broad. I think they would have a better yield if they accepted biz kids earlier.
