Mid-Year Report Questions

I don’t have any new awards or anything to add on the Mid-Year Report. Does that mean my counselor will just leave the “comments” section blank? Is that normal/detrimental? Should I ask her to say something more (assuming her letter of rec was good)?

That’s not detrimental, or abnormal. Basically, the mid-year reports are to show if you’ve done anything incredible or if you’ve slacked of and become a second semester senior early. If you had done something amazing it may’ve been a tipping factor for colleges that you were on the bubble for, but it’s not a huge deal. I wouldn’t ask a counsellor to say something more, it seems a little like groveling to me.

Okay, sounds good! Yeah, I agree. Thanks!
