Mid Year Report

i wasnt specifically asked for a midyear report but i received the “no scholarship…send midyear report” do i still send it in?..also is there a way i can explain why my grades dropped? thanks! =]

SEARCH! This question has been asked probably about 15 times in the last two weeks.

ya i would suggest sending it in… um i dunno if it’s worth it to explain, unless you have a really good reason, what you can do is send them in an extra letter telling them what else you’ve been doing since you’ve sent in your app. keep it short, i just told them how i won this award, i’m interning for a sports production company, and was chosen to produce one my classes first student films. kinda just an update. ooh and make sure (if you applied to a major specific school i.e. film) send the letter to them too. (i’d do it quickly, my dad dropped off my letters to the general admin office and the film admin office on his way to work)

the lady i called told me it wasn’t an official request, so it’s your choice.

online instructions say to do so anyways, whether or not you got the request. you should submit them online to. go log into your app and click on Mid Year Grades on the left.

i’m afraid that i’ll be rejected because of the mid year report…

Im a little bit afraid about my mid year screwing me too, but I dont think that it is a “tipping” factor in your admissions, not something that would place you in the reject pile at least, probablly something that could show…continued improvement or like a rapid turn around

what does everyone else think?

"Official Report Card: You must send under separate cover, a copy of your official report card received from your high school. Please mail it to: "

So does that mean that I can XEROX my report card and send that via mail?

or does it have to be OFFICIAL one from your high school?

No. It has to be an “official report card,” and a “copy” simply means that they assume you get one, and they need one just like the one you received.

Edit: And you don’t need to cross-post in other threads. Your question will be answered if you post in one thread.

I see…so I’d have to wait till monday to get the official one…

Do I have to send both via mail and online or online one will do fine alone?
