Oh yep! My bad, I guess I was getting too excited haha. What time zone are people in? I’m from Hawai’i so it comes out at 3 am for me
Eastern Standard mostly I would assume. Ugh so nervous for this
For Ed1 applicants, did you get an email about tomorrow?
Yeah a couple days ago
Thank you!
Anyone get in? I was rejected
I’m in!! Wishing everybody immense luck in the coming college season!!!
Did not get in. ACT 33, unweighted GPA 4.0, lot’s of EC
I got in!! I hope you guys all have a good day regardless of how it turned out!
I got deferred from Midd today.
I go to a private school in Manhattan, NY and have a 3.8 gpa (unweighted), got a 1410 on the SAT (720, Math, 690 Reading and Writing) and a 750 on the Bio-E SAT II. I’m not an athlete, but I am heavily involved with music (vocal and instrumental and I did a portfolio), outdoor activities and am a hopeful Environmental Science major. Anyone have advice?
@LT1519 - you should get in touch with Midd in the New Year with mid-year grades, make sure you have been interviewed, and make it clear to Midd why it is your first choice and what you’d bring to campus. Good luck!
I was accepted and am posting this to help out future applicants/those who got deferred:
ACT 33, GPA 3.9. 7 APs. 5s on all AP tests so far. ECs heavily revolve around language, study abroad, extra language classes. Strong essay. 3 letter of recs. I made sure since there are no supplements that my essay had a direct connection Midd’s own interests and values to illustrate how good of a match we are for eachother.
Weaknesses: no interview, all my recs came from language teachers only
Congrats and thanks for the details! My daughter was deferred, so this is very helpful. We’ll be sending additional recs and changing admission preference from September to September or February.
Oops, sorry for the double post.
Congratulations !!! Can u all please share your EFC as i think the acceptance and rejections were largely linked to financial aid.
@steelpen Middlebury is need blind for domestic students, so that should not be a factor. Son was accepted with very generous financial aid package.
“Can u all please share your EFC as i think the acceptance and rejections were largely linked to financial aid.”
Absolutely incorrect. Middlebury is need-blind for domestic students.
@trekslxchick I’m sorry I didn’t mention the word INTERNATIONAL. Any internationals accepted or rejected or deferred??? Can u pls share ur EFC
@steelpen You posted the same question in Trinity College CT ED 1 Class of 2024 thread. Did you apply ED to two different schools? I wonder if they found out and that is why you were not accepted.
@momamh I sent ED 1 to Trinity College but I am planning to apply ED 2 to Middlebury. Trinity college rejected many brilliant internationals only because of their high financial need so I want to learn about Middlebury too. I want to know if any Internationals with low EFC had been accepted to Middlebury in ED 1?
