Awesome, thanks! Her and I seem like pretty similar applicants. Crossing my fingers.
Crossing my fingers for you!!
Thank you! Does anybody have any information about the optional Glimpse video? I found some information about it towards the bottom of Middleburyâs interview page - apparently itâs an alternative for an interview if an applicant isnât given one. Iâm not sure whether or not I should do it, and if I should, when I can be sure I wonât get a traditional interview? Iâm also wondering whether or not they even look at the Glimpse video still, considering that there was no info about it anywhere except the bottom of the interview page on their website. Does anyone have any insight about this?
My son had an interview (virtual) for ED1. For future applicants⊠his timeline was:
Nov 1: ED app due
Nov 5: Email from alum to sched virtual interview
Nov 21: Virtual interview (could have been a bit earlier but S24 was in trimester finals so he sched for after exams)
Dec 9@8AM EST: ED decisions released!
Hi there! My daughter and I were nervous she hadnât been contacted for an interview so she asked her college counselor about doing Glimpse and her counselor thought it unnecessary. But I think if it makes you feel better and like you have a bit more control in the process, it might be worth doing for your own peace of mind? Do you know when ED2 results from Midd are supposed to come out? Are you still maybe 3 weeks away? (I know my son is doing ED2 to Wesleyan and it seems likely that they come out on or about 2/10 and I know Midd and Wes released on the same date for ED1âŠand yes I have twins! Itâs my daughter whoâs into Midd) It seems like generally the people who were granted interviews were granted earlier in the process. But remember my daughter didnât get one and she got in! And you said your stats are similar so FWIW I think you have a good shot!
Good luck to your son!
Thank you! It will be exciting when he is settled as well have def been a more tumultous process!
I just wanted to pop in and say that I got in early decision this fall also and didnât get a email about an interview until November 16th! A lot later then the other time line!
Congrats on your acceptance to Midd! My son will start in Sept. How about you?
Thank you!! Iâm also starting in September, itâs starting to feel (somewhat) not so faraway!
Hi! Do you know if thereâs an accepted students weekend for Midd? I canât find anything about it myselfâŠnot sure if it is really just for people who are deciding but I know a lot of schools have thoseâŠ
Iâve been wondering this as well!
I was just going to ask the same!
I thought I saw something about a Preview Day last year so we are hopeful but also havenât seen/found any date(s) yet.
I was with S24âs twin touring another school when he and DH toured Midd. I canât wait to visit!
Maybe I will email the orientation folks sometime soon, they were helpful when I asked to confirm the move in dates so I could secure hotel roomsâŠ
That was smart. We booked a hotel based on the yet-to-be confirmed 24-25 calendar. Was that the right move?
Yes. They confirmed those are the right dates, move in being Labor Day. I also booked an Airbnb for family weekend! All the hotels were booked, it was kind of bonkers!!
So they move in and start orientation on Labor Day or do they move in Sunday before? Thanks for asking!!
They move in Monday and start orientation that day as well. So, i got a hotel room for my daughter Sun night but not Mon!
Thanks for getting me thinking about dates!!
I just went through the academic calendar for all three kidsâ colleges for 24-25. What are the odds that Family Weekend is the same for all three? Well⊠you might think the odds would be low given that classes and orientation start on different weeks⊠nope! Complete overlap!
We booked our hotel for family weekend the day DS got his ED acceptance. Even so, weâre staying about 30 min from Middlebury. All the hotels were already booked!
