Midyear Report issues

I’m the only one in my high school taking Calculus BC. My school is a medical magnet and i have to go to our district’s engineering magnet everytime just to take that one class. I have a C in that class though, because the teacher is monstruosly difficult and has some national or international certification and is pushing linear algebra into our curriculum (which the engineering students are comfortable with, obviously). I’m ranked 8 out of 165 students, and it gets me mad that ranks 1-7 are all taking Calculus AB with the easiest teacher in our school and have been getting A’s. My junior and sophomore year grades were still good (HS years 1-3 cumulative average of 96.9). SAT’s a 2170 and ACT’s a 34, subject tests pending.

I’m scared that that one C will blotch my transcript and cause colleges to rescind my admission decision if they ever accept me.

I’m applying to Stanford, UT Austin, Rice (Rice-Baylor program), Yale, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Harvard, Dartmouth and Georgetown.

Since Texas Law gives top 10% students automatic admit into UT Austin, i’m pretty sure that’s a safe school for me. I really want to get into all the school’s I’m applying to and have visited all of them.

Senior year grades are straight up A’s except that one nasty Calculus II grade that I need to somehow bring up to a B, but know that it might not happen…

How much do you think that hurts me?
