I’m just commenting about it. I don’t have anything against her.

I agree with cartera. I don’t have a problem with the unrated Blurred Lines video.

I haven’t seen the unrated video. I don’t have a problem with nudity. As an artist, I see it all the time and draw the male and female nude routinely. I do think that nudity is always sexual to a point. The purpose of nudity in art may not (always) be to elicit a sexual response but there is always an underlying sexuality when nudity is part of the visual.

This clip was on facebook. I think it’s a video made for someone’s wedding. It’s adorable. EXCEPT that I wonder if the bride and groom ever listened to the actual lyrics to the song! Lol.

Meh, I honestly don’t think they cared what the lyrics said. It’s a funny carefree wedding video with a carefree upbeat song. The lyrics don’t matter.

The song is growing on me.

Mold will definitely do that if you sit still long enuff

As a publicity stunt it certainly worked, her name is all over the media/internet. I’m sure her music sales had a slight bump after the performance as well.

That was well done!

Considering so many couples tightly control every detail of their nuptials, its refreshing to hear about someone who isnt concerned about what others think, especially when the choice of music is so broad.

( also, Im not an expert, but while Cyrus may be attempting to twerk, she doesn’t achieve it)

alh: hilarious, thank you. The wedding video is charming. The song is very catchy and I love the production. Too bad about the lyrics and the video.

D reports that the VMA video is On Demand, rated PG.

Parents were complaining that TV-14 shouldn’t show what Miley did. Looks like they forget that Family Guy, King of the Hill, and American Dad is TV-14.

Really!!! Now, see, I actually like the song and the lyrics don’t bother me as much as they bother some people but…

If I were making a once in a lifetime wedding video and setting it to music wearing my pretty bridal gown and with all of the people I love…and I wanted this video to endure for all time as a playful and spontaneous vignette of my joyful day, I doubt that I would choose a song that offers a woman something that will split her a** in two.

Guess that’s just me.

Really. Here’s an example of a couple who put in it there wedding video.

I’m sure when they look back at this video they’ll remember how much fun it was making this video rather than one line in the entire song.

I’m sure you’re right, Niquii. Some of us just care about the degradation of women. We’re funny that way.

Maybe they don’t see the degradation angle. It’s just as easy to see the opposite. Opinions vary. Interpretations vary. Not black and white. Blurred.

It’s not just one line, it’s lots of lines and they don’t seem all that blurry to me. Again, I enjoy the song but it just doesn’t seem appropriate for any part of a wedding. Except maybe on the dance floor.

They viewed it appropriate for they’re wedding. This is just a mash up of clips from a video booth. Who knows if they have another official video for their wedding? I don’t know. Do you know? I view this video as a fun video filled with people who love each other and are having a grand 'ol time.

I agree the dance floor is something completely different.
Although I lean toward the NIN tune , " I want to ___you like an animal" for that.
