This may seem like a silly question, but does being in the military help with the admission process. I am currently in the army and have been for a year. I have decent stats from high school that I submitted to reflect my academic ability as well as sports and extracurriculars. Also, I have the choice of going to West Point at the end of this year. I feel confident that UVa is what I want to do. But it seems to me that it is all a big crap shoot anyway. I know that if I am qualified (academically, athletically, and extracurricularlly) for West Point it doesn’t necessarily make me qualified for UVa.

I don’t know. If anyone has any opinions or knows for sure I would really appreciate it. Thank You.
