General rule: Spanish is Colombia and English is Columbia.
I think the worst thing was that the pageant officials/judges didn’t immediately correct the error. You can tell they knew by the buzzing you can see when the camera turns to them. Plus Miss Colombia was just left stranded on the stage–no walk, no mobbing by the other contestants, none of the usual post-crowning hoopla. So Harvey goofed big time, but the pageant was a disaster in handling his mistake.I imagine Donald Trump is enjoying the fact that the pageant fell apart as soon as he ended his affiliation.
The Tom and Lorenzo blog (not sure I can link it here) has a four-parter with pictures of the national costume part of the show, complete with T&L snark. The costumes must be seen to be believed. Miss Austria. Miss Thailand. Miss Hungary. Miss Honduras. I have no words.
Also, Google around for the national costume of Miss Spain, in full face. Tom and Lorenzo don’t do a good job capturing the full effect. You think I’m joking when I say she has a full beard and a mustache on half her face, don’t you?
That Tom and Lorenzo blog is hilarious! I usually read them for their commentary on “The Walking Dead,” but they really let their full snark fly when it comes to beauty pageants.

Tom and Lorenzo are a couple who have a blog on fashion. I like it because they train their sights on people who are paid for their fashion appearance and who very likely have stylists, hairdressers and makeup artists at their disposal: people like movie stars, Miss Universe contestants and Kim Kardashian. They don’t go after normal people who are in the public eye for reasons other than fashion. Also, they don’t body shame, and they put the hammer down on body shamers in their comments section.
