Post your top fifteen: [The 2010 Miss USA Pageant](http://tv.yahoo.com/the-2010-miss-usa-pageant/show/46500/photos/1)

I love this pageant and I will be watching the program tonight. I cannot wait to see great fashions, wardrobe and show. So here are my top fifteen, not in any specific order:

Miss Ohio Amanda Tempel
Miss Washington Tracy Turnure
Miss Texas Kelsey Moore
Miss Connecticut Ashley Bickford
Miss Kansas Bethany Gerber
Miss California Nicole Michele Johnson
Miss Massachusetts Lacey Wilson
Miss Oregon Kate Paul
Miss Delaware Julie Citro
Miss Kansas Bethany Gerber
Miss Missouri Ashley Strohmier
Miss North Carolina Nadia Shirin Moffett
Miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard
Miss Virginia Samantha Casey
Miss Pennsylvania Gina Cerilli

You listed Kansas twice.

Ok… thanks. Replace the duplicate with Miss Wyoming Claire Schreiner.

In looking at the photos, I have to say…what is with the huge jewel earrings in almost every photo? I can see wearing that in an evening gown competition but not for a headshot photograph. Very distracting and it is quite formulaic for each one to do the same. Also, the majority have their hair just done up way too much and not natural. Some have overdone makeup. Some tried to pose in sexy ways. Not really my cup of tea. Perhaps I am more used to actor headshots but these pageant ones are way too overdone.

I have to say I agree- they are all so orange I just want to wash their faces and pin back their hair- and whats with the false lashes?

I didn’t even realize they still did the pageants- do young women still need them to get scholarships for college as our neighbor did when she was crowned Miss USA in 1968?

^^^^
agree with soozievt…The earrings are catching my eye and the sexy poses are not professional. I never really liked pageants and looking at the pics I remembered why.

I agree they are really pushing the envelope with a new style of photos and sexy poses.
I ignored the retro sexy pinup pictures. In my tentative selection, I just evaluated the other normal pictures–gown, bathing suit and close up picture.

Considering that tonight we can evaluate other important factors–such as beauty, poise, taste in selecting a fashion, answers to question, elegance, intelligence, extracurricular, competitiveness and handling controversy…you name it!

So…which state should represent USA?

Admittedly, I only viewed the headshots. And yes, the competition is more than a headshot. I prefer pageants that have a talent component though! I’m not planning on to watch.

Hi soozievt: I will be watching and reporting.

The selected candidate will represent USA in the Miss Universe pageant, another show I love to watch. These programs take me out of the ordinary TV programs full of scandals, killing and violence. They are refreshing and entertaining and love the fashion.

For other talent shows I watch Miss America.

Anyone wants to predict?

I guess the only shows I watch are full of scandals & violence.
I don’t watch TV- but I watch (*Bones * a darkly humourous crime drama with a forensic anthropologist & House usually no crime involved but lots of body fluids) on Hulu.

I have seen the pageants in the past- maybe the last time I watched was 40 years ago. Watching a show where young women compete against each other wearing bathing suits and evening gowns gives me a yuckier feeling than seeing human remains in a refrigerator.

Good grief, some of them looked like they were posing for a men’s magazine! And what was with the non-smiling pictures from some?

The ones I liked just from the headshots were Indiana, Connecticut, Oregon, Idaho, Alabama, and Hawaii. That’s about it.

What’s up with the earrings? They look like chandeliers.
Doesn’t the whole idea of pageants seem to be outdated? I’ve read that the Miss America pageant is on its last gasp. Isn’t it a reality competition show now or something? The country certainly seems to have moved on.

Is Miss USA the one owned by Donald Trump? (The pageant, not the individual. Though who really knows.)

Yes, the whole idea of pageants is outdated. There are some who enjoy them as mindless entertainment; I would rather waste my time with watching sports, which is also mindless entertainment. I’m not into clothes and hair and makeup either, so pageants just hold no interest.

Yes!..Excitement is growing as the 2009 Miss USA Pageant revs up for a Sunday night presentation. Miss USA 2009 will be presented live from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the 58th annual pageant works towards crowing its newest Miss USA. The telecast will also be shown live on NBC starting at 7 p.m. Eastern…
This year’s hosts for the 2009 Miss USA Pageant will be Billy Bush and Nadine Velazquez…
Even more recognizable than the hosts of the Miss USA Pageant for 2009 are the telecast judges, who are obviously brought in so that people will have recognizable faces as they watch the show live. Among those that are included in the group of telecast judges are Alicia Jacobs, Brian Graden, Claudia Jordan, Eric Trump, John Miller, Kelly Monaco, Perez Hilton, Robert Earl, Shandi Finnessey, Kenan Thompson, Willie Geist, and Holly Madison. Quite a few of them will be lending a “pretty face” to the telecast, and should give an interesting look in how different people evaluate the talent this year…"Mr. Devault.

Each to his own perversion, I prefer the bathing suits.

Nice opening. Curtis and Natalie look great…what a beautiful couple!

I cannot believe Joan Rivers is still entertaining…good for her at her age!

HOST: Curtis Stone is a master chef, best-selling author, TV host, and entrepreneur. In 2006, Stone made his debut in the United States with his own hit series “Take Home Chef” for the Discovery Network’s TLC (The Learning Channel). When it comes to cooking, his philosophy is to cook as Mother Nature intended: buy locally produced seasonal and organic ingredients, keep recipes simple, and allow the food to speak for itself. He can currently be seen on NBC’s hit series “The Biggest Loser” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”

HOST: Natalie Morales joined the “Today” show as a National Correspondent in February 2006 and was named Co-Host of the third hour in March 2008. Morales also serves as a National Correspondent for all NBC News platforms including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Dateline NBC,” and MSNBC. While working for NBC News, Morales has reported on and contributed to several major breaking news stories, including the 2009 presidential inauguration, Hurricane Katrina and the recovery efforts, and the war in Iraq. Additionally, “Hispanic Magazine” named her one of the “Top Hispanics to Watch” in 2005 and one of the “Top Trendsetters” of 2003

Just guessed six candidates…the following:

Miss Kansas Bethany Gerber
Miss California Nicole Michele Johnson
Miss Pennsylvania Gina Cerilli
Miss Oklahoma Morgan Elizabeth Woolard
Miss Missouri Ashley Strohmier
Miss Virginia Samantha Casey

-You will be in shock when you see the outfit of judge “Johnny Weir” full of feathers. Controversy started with that outfit…

Nice report of Las Vegas!

Time for the Question!!!

Please pay attention to Judge Johnny Weir …Weird’s outfit.

I think Oklahoma looks good…controversial question and she survived.

Miss Virginia looks like Natalie Portman.
