MIT dream school

Hi. I’m new to this website and I have a few questions about what I can do in high school to maximize my chances of getting into a T20 (my dream school is MIT).

I’m currently in 9th grade. I’m hoping to major in math/physics and I have good grades and an advanced curriculum. However, I know that’s not enough to get into a top school, so I’m wondering what I can do besides that. I would appreciate actually helpful answers instead of just “be yourself” and “follow your passions”- I have passions, but I’m not sure how to direct them to show excellence.

Thank you!

MIT loves applicants who have competed in (and won) prestigious math competitions. Seek those out and give it a shot.
