MIT Interviews

PM me on facebook please. CC mobile is inonvinient.

@peepintom … You are right bro, LAC s are not bad… They are just different… And for international LacS better … the post a superb learning environment…Amherst ,Swarthmore ,colgate etc… all are highly respected institutes… So if you want a Personal attention Best go for LACs .…… then attend grad school at some tech. Based institutes…

The possibilities at a LAC are endless…
No need to necessarily go to grad school, after 2 yrs in a LAC, you can transfer to a tech or go for 3-2 engineering program. and then there’s graduate school too.

@Abhi27nav WOW!! Those are excellent achievements. So inspiring :)

I just can’t believe that this thread reached 14 pages, and all we’ve been talking about is not even related to the topic! :))

@Abhi27nav Well compared to $60k/year required at US for tuition+board, 15,000 CHF seems rather affordable!

I think 15k CHF would translate to a lot more than 15k$ in Indian Rupees (INR), plus no one… and absolutely no one pays the sticker price for colleges in US (unless they’re extremely rich and have no hope for aid).

And living in CH is super duper expensive.

No one except for all indians at Purdue, UC Berkeley, CMU, GTech etc.

The 15k Chf I mentioned was the living expenses per year at Switzerland comparable to those at US

Lets not talk about ETH now. US is already giving me headaches.

@Robots, the Indians which go on to attend Purdue, Gtech and U Of Minnesota won’t even get accepted at ETH, if they do, however, then that would be a bargain!

ETH is like the father of Caltech and MiT at favourable fields :stuck_out_tongue: so purdue is incomparable to it.

Hey first of all the persons thinking about going abroad for their bachelors definitely think of other possibilities at European universities… But the major problems I found out is language, even I was looking for ETH , university of Amsterdam, Lund university etc… all requires German French ,Italian etcc… and virtually in contrast to USA universities they don’t have campuses or housing facilities. That jeopardizes the social college experience and safety of 3rd world students from racism… Do better opt for USA…

@Abhi27nav … them better drop a year go to ETH ,I think caltech ,MIT are different from ETH … it’s it’s not wit to compare AGNI-V WITH PSLV …

Quite frankly, most of the universities in the European Union are free (EU), it’s just the boarding and lodging costs i.e. You can study free at Germany, Norway, Iceland, and some others (which I don’t remember) but the main problem is that the boarding and lodging are quite expensive in such developed European countries especially Norway, which has one of the highest standards of living in the world!

The reason undergrads from all over the world choose USA is the flexibility of study option… I think that don’t exists mostly in EU countries… You can taste your likeliness, passions… I am quiet sure, if you don’t not try a new field you never know your true passion… So it’s good to choose your field of study early… But by no means they should be bound…

Exactly!, Due to early specialization, UG degrees take only 3 yrs at EU countries.

Best of luck for tomorrow, all those who applied!

What???
D-Day is tomorrow??

Please please please, everyone please keep me in the loop! I’m dying to know and all the bestest best to everyone especially @QuarkAssassin
