It’s possible, but I don’t think the decision committee would hurry to complete decisions on a Friday when they have a whole week ahead of them to finish them.
I’m actually expecting decisions to come out very late this year- as the last few days of April. It seems that whenever you are expecting to hear a decision from something as important as this, you get your response on the LAST POSSIBLE DAY
Well, Common app prompts did come 3/31…
They just answered and said that you cannot update with scores beyond January sat
What were your stats (GPA/SAT/ACT/etc) and ECs if you applied for MITES?
2270 SAT; 3.9 UW 4.5 W
PSAT 240, 3.84 UW 3.97 W
I now have a 2290 but applied with a 2070. My gpa is a 3.9 uw. Hella ECs and amazing essays and recs
221 PSAT, 3.99 uw i think. 4.36 weighted
ACT 35 UW 3.9
ACT: 34, UW: 4.0, W: 5.0
Really impressed by everyone’s posts. Best of luck to everyone! Hopefully we receive admission decisions soon, the anxiety is killing me!
My SAT scores were “booty crap” as my English professor would call them. Lol. You guys did so good on it. Did you guys prep a lot for the ACT/SAT?
Also, has anyone taken the ACT Plan and ACT test? I thought the ACT Plan was really easy and I did good on the Plan so I thought the ACT would be easy too, but boy was I wrong. I feel like the prep test was very misleading, as in it was nothing like the regular test lol. But yes good luck to you guys!!!
I wish I could have told them my March scores! I only submitted a relatively low PSAT score and just got a 2340
To be honest, I only prepped for the SAT, and took the ACT as a (just in case). I ended up doing better on the ACT though, and I find that a lot of people do also. I never took the ACT Plan so I wouldn’t know. Ultimately though, test scores aren’t the most important thing, and many other factors (GPA, EC, Essays) can boost your applications. I’m sure everyone has heard that before, but I constantly have to remind myself that not getting a perfect score isn’t the end of the world…
Awful PSAT, 3.8 Unweighted, 5.79 Weighted. Overall, I feel I put together the best application I could and all that is left now is the wait
Raised PSAT from 187 to 228 :P… I think my story’s sorta decent: I had much trouble with school from freshman-sophomore year due to…stuff…, yet I still managed to keep my GPA in the 3.9 range. Now, I’m taking 7 AP tests (for phrreeeeeee lelelellelele), so the transition’s evident. GPA is still 3.9, lol.
@Iamquiteloud How do you have more than 5.0?!
Here to make everyone feel better
1760 on the SAT
3.71 unweighted GPA
3.89 weighted GPA
Let’s see if they really do care about more than just the numbers haha
Mites is harder to get into than MIT. They read all those essays.
