<p>All that really matters to me now is that I get into an engineering school. Sure, it wonāt be MIT. Iāll never get a brass rat or call Cambridge home, Iāll never get to take that 12 hour trip to Boston that I always wanted to take (fueled by 13 gallons of fry grease, sparing the environment 230 pounds of CO2), Iāll never get to live in Random hall or get to know the awesome MIT community. But Iāll still be the same person, and I value that more than going to a specific school. MIT was my dream, but I suppose now itās time to give in the fight and just dig in wherever Iāll end up. Thereās always grad school. It wonāt ever be like undergrad at MIT, though.</p>

<p>Thanks for the kindness. This wait really wouldnāt have been the same without you guys. I donāt think Iāve ever talked with as many creative and intelligent people in the same place. For those of you who were admitted, I can tell you definitely deserve it and I hope you have an awesome time! Iāll be alright; Iāll probably get into WPI or RPI (or even both), and Iāll have a great time at whichever I end up at. I also got hired for this really cool programming internship this summer at the power company. They donāt usually hire freshmen, but they were pretty impressed with me, so Iāll take that as a good sign for the future and just be happy with what Iāve got.</p>
