<p>I was thinking the same as Mollie - I’ve been reading these threads for the last 3 years at least and don’t remember any transfers here on CC in the past being accepted (or maybe one?). You guys are really lucky. Or more likely, really awesome!! Congrats!</p>

<p>@Green15, I was considering asking this very same question earlier. Nope I haven’t received mine yet either; last week’s email did say “An official letter will be mailed to you next week” so technically they could send it Friday…</p>
<p>Update: Received an email from Noah in admissions, who said he is sending my admission packet today :)</p>

<p>It arrived in today’s mail. (Look for a silver tube, not a “packet”.) I live locally, and perhaps received it earlier than those who live across the country/world. So, don’t fret, they are on their way! </p>

<p>My name is Carolyn and I’m also transferring from a community college. That there are (at least) two of us in 20 transfers this year gives the lie to the complaint (that I saw on some other MIT CC thread) that one must come from an elite school in order to transfer successfully ! </p>
<p>What do you think about making a Facebook group for incoming transfers? Not every transfer student will be on College Confidential (although it seems that many are!) </p>

Sure, let’s make a group. I know one other transfer here wanted to make one.</p>
<p>I spoke with Noah in admissions yesterday, and he said we are likely to receive the coupons necessary for setting up mit.edu addresses mid-June. Facebook’s “official” school groups within its MIT heading require mit.edu addresses. </p>
<p>I attempted to set up an unofficial “MIT Transfer 2013” group, but Facebook insisted that I add at least one other member from my own friend list in order to create the group. </p>

<p>Once I have someone to add, I can make the group. (Or, stevenr1993, you can create it, since you now have joeyincalifornia and/or me to add.)</p>
