MITES 2009 Information and Discussion

Hah, yeah.

I realize if we get rejected, at least we know what it feels like for next year :[

i wanna go to the aquarium thingy. we don’t have one in az… cuz… it’s kinda a desert… and then i want to go the sci museum but i also want to go to downtown! >< so many.

who else is booking their flights or already booked their flights?

lol I had to read 2 pages of what I missed in this forum. lol I never knew so many people liked asian dramas and anime. I am currently in Spanish 4 but I recognize and understand the writing more than when people speak it to me. Anyone take the Ap Spanish exam?

hmmm if I was to choose an elective it would probably be that web design class, I forgot what the other ones are.

^Hah! I love how active and interesting this thread has been as soon as people started to get accepted. I speak English (obviously), Arabic, and Spanish (not completely fluent). I’m currently learning German and I really want to learn Korean and Italian, though. Ahh…I don’t want to think about the electives because I might not get in and I don’t want to get too attached. I’m waiting for the mail now. I hope it comes today!

BlackRose…still waiting? : /

(I know I am)

@Melody224
I know what you mean. I don’t want to get to attached to this forum. Just from this conversations going on in this forum it looks like we have some very interesting people, which makes me even more anxious. I’m glad to find someone else who like to learn different languages!

@Ansar
yeah I’m still waiting. I haven’t checked the mail yet. I know I’ve asked you this before but have u been accepted to other programs for backup?

its funny that kids in massachussets didnt get their results, yet kids in texas did. haha.

@BlackRose21
I didn’t apply to others because my backup is just summer courses at the local university (FIU, in this case).

And I still haven’t gotten anything in the mail…I that = rejection : /

i didnt get anything either today.

from california…

So are there any kids from the east coast on this forum? or are you guys too busy studying lol ;)

futurereject, is that northern or southern Cali? I just got my SSP rejection so all my hopes lie in MITES.

lol isn’t it like 1 going on to 2:00 am in California?

@ansar
yeah I still didn’t get anything yet. My dad says that the acceptance letters go out slow and the rejection letters go fast. I don’t know in this case though. But it still says something if MA didn’t even get theirs yet. So keep hope alive.:slight_smile: There’s still a chance.

I’m sorry about SSP mikester0904
I’m in CA too, and still nothing :frowning:
But yeah, it is kinda weird that no one from Massachusetts (or the East Coast in general) has been accepted yet.

I hope so BlackRose :)

Well I guess we just have to keep waiting. I hope we Californians get letters soon. I find it hard to focus on my homework when I’m waiting for these letters.

Haha, ^ same!
I have to study for AP tests, and the May SATs…but I just can’t focus!

nothing from Southern CA today =[

@blackrose, it is 2 pm, mailman arrived with nothing

Oh, okay…seems to be the people from the Midwest who’re getting their letters…

Hopefully tomorrow : /

yeah. But what gets me is that someone from FL already got their letter…so I don’t know what to think.

No luck today, unfortunately. Tomorrow shall be another day.
