UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, Stanford, maybe MIT lol, Cornell, Columbia, [insert safety school]</p>
<p>i feel like emailing MITES to ask about my decision. I mean, if im rejected, nothing worse can happen right? lol</p>
<p>i’m not really sure where i want to apply yet. I know I’ll definitely apply to MIT (my dream school) and to A and M or UT (my safety school). But I still don’t know what colleges I want to apply to that I would actually get into and love. I’m pretty sure I want to major in astrophysics and aero/astro engineering (dreams of being a rocket scientist). :P</p>

<p>maybe you should consider Caltech as well, petri. They are really good in the astrophysics/engineering department, but the only thing I don’t really like is that its so small and seems really intense…I think I might apply early to MIT next year. I hope MITES isn’t an indicator of how things will turn out next year. ;)</p>
<p>@ melody, Really? I had no idea, thanks (:. I really need to look into caltech, I keep putting off college research. I think you’ll do great with MIT admissions, and they are always saying on the MITES website that the acceptance rate for MITES is way lower than that of MIT :)</p>

<p>you guys are applying to programs with a 5% acceptance rate! mit accepts like 10% double the MITES rate, that means next year in the MIT freshmen applciation discussion there will be practically double the amount of acceptees from this discussion.</p>

<p>Sweet another one in Florida, I wish mine would just come already. I can’t understand how people in the lower parts of florida are getting it before me I live more up north of florida/ center.</p>

that’s wierd that the letter was dated on the 6th, someone said his/hers was dated on the 3rd…oh well…at this point i’m kind of just hoping for a fly-in or waitlist or something.
