MITES 2010 Information & Discussion

I didn’t see it also. Could you give me your link? Thanks.

Make sure you log in here: http://engineering-apps.mit.edu:8080/mites/apply

I took a screenshot of where the submit button is (it’s at the bottom): http://i49.■■■■■■■.com/w8qf5l.png

I did log in the right place, but just don’t have ‘submit MITES application’ button. Any suggestions?

I’m not exactly sure what else you can do. Maybe try pressing CTRL + F and type in “Submit MITES Application” to see if you’re probably missing it.

I tried what NiteStriker suggested, but I still don’t see the “submit” link!! I think Llily2208 and I are seeing the same thing… After the section “Share Application with Women’s Technology Program”, there is no submit button, but there is a section that reminds us the “Required Supplemental Information (Postmarked by February 15, 2010)”.

That’s the exactly what I saw which same as yours. Do you think we should contact MITE? Or it is just our computer’s problem?

That’s weird, you can try contacting them to see if they can help: [Contact Us](<a href=“MITES – MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering and Science”>MITES – MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering and Science)

I used the link provided by NiteStriker as well as the link on the MITES website. Both do not have the “submit application” button. @lily2208, are you calling MITES? I don’t think it’s computers’ problem, you don’t have window 7, do you? I have vista.

@snowing
I am using window XP. I did not call them yet. How about you?

I haven’t called them, but I don’t know what to do.

My computer is vista, I am planning to call them tomorrow.

whoo for january sats! 2280! how exactly do i send my scores to MIT?

nvm. i emailed and she said that unofficial score report would be fine for now but to send a photocopy of the official report when i get it

I’ve pretty much completed my application, but I just realized that the essays should be 300 words or less. Mine are in the 300-400 range after shortening them. Do you think it’s essential for them to be <300 or is it just their general preference?

js2393: a couple of mine are over 300 as well. they’re like 310-320 i think. I don’t think it should make much of difference unless you’re going way over like above 350. An admissions officer once said its fine to go over by 10%, but nothing more than that.

2 questions
My SATS just came back
2010
570M
800CR
640WR
should I send them, the math is low but the critical reading could carry me- could it?

2 My school has my gpa as a 3.69/4.0

but, my 1st and second quarter grades moves these up to a 3.79/4.0
However, these grades aren’t in yet-- can i attach a note saying that my gpa and class rank are not updated and therefore do not represent all my grades?

@nil

I think I’m in the same situation as you. My GPA right now is measured only by my freshman and sophomore grades.

Here’s a random question for everyone else. On the online application where it says to list all the advanced science and math courses, would AP Psychology count? :P
