@ayahthetiger I haven’t done my 5th essay, I’m having writer’s block. I don’t know if I am supposed to back up how to create the invention or just explain why I would want to create it.

Hi guys, I’m new to this thread but I just wanted to add that for my innovation essay, I wrote that I would develop a cure for autoimmune disease, one called Scleroderma specifically, and why. I explained what it is and why it is dangerous, but I didn’t go into the details of how I would develop a cure.
Also, for the identity one, I wrote about how homeschooling has given me a different perspective and how that changes what my aspirations are.
Do you guys think that me being homeschooled will affect my admission decision? Because I don’t have a GPA from a regular school.

It should say at the bottom of the portal if it is completed or not.
Bro I legit wrote my invention essay about a toilet that functioned without fresh water by using a vacuum from a pressure chamber. Idk the idea sounded good bc like a fourth of all fresh water we use each day goes to toilets, and it wastes so much energy, money, and hurts wildlife to get that water cleaned for re-consumption. Thinking about it now, maybe that wasn’t the best idea

Bro you are good. It sounds dope as hell, and they arent judging this base off of the application of the invention, but instead they are trying to get to your head and see how you think

My son got that email as well. Wasn’t sure if there is a staging to this process- like stage 1 weeds out and they send that email as a stage 2?
No, they haven’t, it was just an email confirming that they have received the full application with everything including recs.
do you guys think the coronavirus would affect the programs?
Personally, I don’t think so. I hope the # of cases doesn’t continue to skyrocket, that could be a concern for so many summer programs
unfortunately, they aren’t holding the MITES program this year because of corona. kinda upset 
let’s be positive guys! MOSTEC is still happening and they’re accepting more students this year to compensate for MITES’ cancellation. GL all!
Do you guys think the acceptance rate for mostec this year will be higher or lower than the mites acceptance?
