If you ago to NM online, they are having a 75% sale. I rarely order only be, but did for 2dresses. They had some pretty MOB or MOG dresses.
Thanks @mom60. She needs long, but that is a very pretty dress. I think she’s decided to go with the one that needs dressmaker intervention. I found it at 60% off, so spending what it will take to deal with the bra issue will still result in a dress far less expensive than many she considered. I’m very happy to have that off my plate (well, except for finding the dressmaker and working an appointment around her less than flexible schedule!).
Anyone ever order from Bob Ton? I found a dress I liked at Macy’s online that is almost $100 LESS at Bon Ton.
Wonder about their return policy.
I have. They are part of a chain but with different names. Legit stores, I’ve never had any trouble returning anything but I’ve always returned to a store.
@deb922 I don’t live anywhere near a store…unless they are part of some chain near me that will take this return.
Guess I will have to talk to them.
I know they are a legit store…but regionally…not here.
I ordered from Bon Ton and have returned; did not have an issue. A return shipping label is included with your item.
Here is their return policy:

Nope…I’ll just wait and see if a place with free returns has the dress on mark down.
Breaking in here for a second to post a picture of the world’s ugliest bridesmaid dresses -

=)) :-& :-t
OK, back to the regularly scheduled conversation…
@thumper1 I used ShopRunner, so I have free returns. Do you have Amex? If so, I am pretty sure you can sign up for ShopRunner.
@patsmom: That is truly the ugliest thing I have ever seen!!! I can’t tell where one bridesmaid ends and the other one begins!!
I don’t have AMEX or shoprunner… but I will check that.
@patsmom whew! Looks like ugly curtains turned into ugly dresses.
Check out the hats and gloves, too. Hideous!
@thumper1 My thought exactly!
@patsmom, lol - is it The Sound of Music themed wedding? :))
Looks more like Halloween!
We’re just under 3 weeks away from the wedding. My MOB dress that I had ordered arrived last week. I had been a little anxious about it, as my measurements didn’t match up exactly on their sizing. Bust and hips were under the size measurements, but waist was 3/4 inch too big. I was concerned about ordering something knowing that it would be too tight in the waist, but the saleslady thought it would be fine and that if I ordered one size up, there would be lots of re-work needed since the bust and hips were already too loose. I figured that if the waist turned out to be a problem, maybe a spanx could help. Anyway, when I tried it on, the waist and hips were fine, but it’s way too tight in the chest/ribcage. The back is open so trying to zip it up ended up showing rolls of back fat. Icckkk! I tried to stay calm and when I took it to the lady I have had do alterations in the past, she didn’t think it would be a big deal at all. She’s going to take material from the hem (a good 8-10" is coming off the bottom) and create a wedge insert at the top 4" or so of the zipper to loosen up the fit. It has fake covered buttons that cover the zipper and she says that once she puts those buttons back on, the insert will not be noticeable. I’m glad that she knows what she’s doing!
This is the dress, in navy. It is really beautiful on. Question for all you people who are much more knowledgeable about fashion than I am. I don’t wear much jewelry and I don’t have a necklace that I think would look good with the dress. I didn’t like how it looked with a string of pearls. I don’t like wearing fake or cheap costume jewelry with something formal, so I’m thinking that I won’t wear a necklace at all. Would that look strange?

@C3Baker - My opinion? The dress would look better WITHOUT a necklace. Look at the model in the photo - looks great. It has an interesting neckline so no need to detract from that. I do like how the model is wearing a nice pair of drop earrings. I’d go with a similar look and leave it at that. I do have a bias towards less busy styling and accessorizing. Great dress!
If not a necklace, what about a nice silk scarf or other wrap in case you find the A/C a bit nippy?
The dress inself has beading so I don’t see any reason you would really NEED a necklace.
No necklace. Lovely neckline as is and agree that a striking pair of earrings would be perfect.
