MOB dress help needed!

Since learning that the MOB is looking for a short (knee-length) dress and not a long one, I ordered a short dress Friday night. I hope it fits and that I love it because I have not seen anything that I really like. My D reminded me that I was focusing on long dresses, so I may have overlooked many options while in the stores. I do think short is more appropriate for this wedding, but I still hate my legs. EDIT: I ordered the largest size it comes in, but I have tried on this brand and find it runs small on top. I’m hoping the fabric at the top is stretchy enough that it will work.

EDIT #2: I see now it’s on sale for 30% off. I paid regular price. Does anyone know if Macy’s will honor the sale price within a certain amount of time? (I think Target has a policy that does that.)

Beautiful dress, @thumper1. I read the reviews and one says it is more of a peach color and one said it is brighter than it appears, but everyone’s computer monitor probably is a little different. I love the color on my monitor!

@musicmom Looks like the dress has pockets; great place to keep your tissues for the ceremony :slight_smile: My daughter’s favorite part of her wedding dress were the pockets; there is a great picture of her with one hand in a pocket.

@BunsenBurner - Thanks! I will wait until I get the dress to see if I’m going to keep it before I call, but that is great information. I think I will print the price showing today for proof, just to be on the safe side. It has already shipped and is supposed to be here Tuesday.

musicmom - just know that in that 10 day price adjustment from Macys’, they count the day you bought it as day1.

Why wait? If you call now, you’ll get the adjustment. If you later decide to return it, you’ll simply get refunded the lower price.

@thumper1 , that is a nice dress. Ellen Tracy is a good brand - notice that it says it runs large, so be sure to size down (and don’t we all love to get that smaller size, anyway?).

On my iPhone it looks a bit salmonish-pink. Not baby pink. But it is a great looking dress!

@musicmom have you considered wearing pants? There is no no law that says you have to wear what the MOB wears.

@oldfort Lovely, but too pricy for me… which leads to an interesting question (apologies if it’s been addressed here): What is your budget for a MOB/MOG/Gala dress? I’ll start a new thread, let’s see if it gets traction.

My biggest worry with that dress if it would look too shiny in flash photos.
