Mobile Phones

Hey. I’m going to the US soon and I was wondering which if the same phones work there as well. I’m planning to get a Cingular plan but I want to take my phone with me. Does that work? Also which phones work?

anyone??

If your cell works with a frequency of 1900 MHz, you can use is in the US.

that’s it? I mean does it have to be tri-band r something? I mean here I use sim cards does that matter?

Tri-Band usually means that the cell works with 3 different frequencies (most common are 1900, 1800 and 900 MHz), so that should be fine.
If your phone doesn’t have a sim lock everything should be fine. Otherwise- I don’t know.

cingular usualy works with 850/1900 mhz if the area had AT@T then your 1900mhz phone would work but use T-mobile for 1900mhz but the connection sucks compare to Cingular

thanks! Cingular is my best option becacuse it has the best coverage where I’m going to.
