This makes me so sad. Goodbye Dr. Kildare
The Thorn Birds!
Different generation
Shogun! I rewatched the old series (by DVD from the library) after the new one. I loved him there.
The Three Musketeers! The Thorn Birds! I loved him.
I just watched the episode of Mid-Century Modern (comedy series on Hulu) that was filmed after Linda Lavin’s untimely passing during filming in December. It was handled so well. I laughed and cried. I loved her character in the show; she was an amazing artist until the very end.
Val Kilmer has passed away at age 65. He was a great actor, I especially remember him as Jim Morrison of the Doors.

I loved him in Real Genius. We watched it several times when D went to Caltech- he really captured the role.
I loved him as Jim Morrison. I think his turn as Doc Holliday in Tombstone was extremely well done. Very sad
Maybe it’s recency bias, but the scene Kilmer played with Tom Cruise in Top Gun Maverick was amazing. So sad, knowing how sick Kilmer was in real life.
I read an interview when the movie was out. Kilmer said it was very emotional for him and Cruise. He originally didn’t want to do Top Gun - he thought it was silly, but he was obligated to do via his studio contract. But then he loved the experience and the friendship.
I loved that scene, too.
65 is too early to leave this earth.
Oh no…. Dennis died
