The Cobra has passed. Sadly, like Mick Ralphs recently, Dave Parker was being inducted into the HOF this year - Cooperstown and doesn’t get to see it.
A stalwart of my late 70s-early 80s MLB obsession and as a key cog on the 1979 “we are family” Pittsburgh Pirates - well this one stinks.

I thought he was older than 73, until you reminded me he started at 13.
Just entering his teens, he breathed new life into the Legion of Super-Heroes, introducing memorable characters and storylines, including a divisive one with a hero who died — and stayed dead.

Soccer star Diogo Jota killed in an auto accident at 28-years-old. Killed with him in the accident was his brother. He leaves a wife and 3 kids behind.

He had a lot of demons. His son took his own life a few years ago at the age of 26 and he said he couldn’t cope with the loss. I remember watching an interview - it was painful to see.

Singer/actor Connie Francis has died
Saw the movie “ Where the Boys Are” on TV when I was a young teen. I loved the movie, my parents didn’t!
