Another of the Greatest Generation:
So sad. My kid was a huge NASCAR fan when he was little.
This made me so sad. Soon all of the remaining survivors will be gone…
Such a hard life - sexual abuse victim, drug addiction, and now suicide. RIP.
His first American hit was Fool (if you think it’s over) in 1978.
I watch many countries’ versions of Big Brother. Mickey was a housemate on the most recent season. Very sad. RIP.
My all-time favorite song ![]()
Omg this is shocking. I actually am surprised she was in her mid 30s - this is so sad. ![]()
There is a fiction book I really like called Time and Again in which The Dakota plays a prominent role (nothing to do with John Lennon however—a different time period all together. However when I read the book and I also knew of John Lennon’s connection to the building it added extra resonance for me).
The Dionne quints were my mother’s favorite pop-culture icons when she was growing up. They were born within days of each other (them & my mother) - as a young girl she scrapbooked articles about them. I hardly ever think about how old my mother would be if she were here, but 91, wow. That’s a nice long life.
RIP all the Dionne quints.
Saw a documentary on the Dionne quintuplets. They were Canadian and were taken from their parents and made wards of the crown, and, actually put on display in a sort of theme park!
Disgusting. I believe as adults they sued the government for what had been done to them.

Watching the “who we lost in 2025” on CBS. So many losses….
Those of us that watch BBC know that they also do a year-end remembrance
It’s mostly Brits, but they did nice tributes to Robert Redford, Diane Keaton and Gene Hackman this year
