American Revolutionary scholar and Brown University professor Gordon Wood died after being stuck by a car.

He was apparently surprised and thrilled about the mention of his work in the film “Good Will Hunting”

She left behind a big legacy. More recently, Owl Moon, a beautiful book and then the famous series, “How Do Dinosaurs….” (Many versions, I bet you all read at least one version to your kids!)

This is so sad  The voice of Lilo and Chihiro has been silenced by meningitis. She was only 35.

James Burrows, the 11-time Emmy-winning director who co-created “Cheers” and helped turn such long-running sitcoms as “Taxi,” “Friends,” “Will & Grace” and “The Big Bang Theory” into fan favorites, died on Friday. He was 85. Burrows, often considered a fatherly manager, tried to bridge the gap between actors and writers and notably took the stars of “Friends” on a trip to Las Vegas before directing 15 episodes of the blockbuster comedy.

Tom Dreesen, a comic whose nearly 60-year career began as the white half of a rare interracial stand-up duo with Tim Reid and who later became a reliably funny staple of late-night television and Frank Sinatra’s longtime opening act, died on Wednesday at his home in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He was 86.

I didn’t know Tim Reid was a comic so I learned that. I knew of him from WKRP so thought of him as an actor. Interesting - and I didn’t realize he’s in his 80s. Sounds like Mr. Dreesen had a good life.
