When my old college BF contacted me after all these years, I googled him and found out that he was married to a very striking woman – and had 3 children. His email had “mid-life crisis” written all over it. Some things are def. better left alone!

About ten years ago, a first love I hadn’t heard from in twenty five years looked me up. He paid me back the $500 he owed me from way back then!

My step sister reconnected with her high school bf at a class reunion ( pre-FB ) They were married and spent the next 18 yrs together until he passed away…same thing with my mother, though it was not a " flame " but a grown up version of the boy next door whose mother made take him out for ice cream when he really wanted to go out with his own friends instead of dragging her around.

I have never seen any real boyfriends ( as in anyone I was serious with ) high school doesn’t count because it was really a time of harmless puppy love and nothing more.

I think this is one reason my profile picture has always been a photo of me & DH. I figure that sends a message - I’m happily married. I’m not looking to re-kindle old flames, just to say hi and catch up with people’s lives (and see who got fat! just kidding… sort of). Even though it’s my FB, it sort of feels like OUR (DH & my) FB.

Be wary. Its incredibly flattering to be courted by an old flame. However, in 2 instances, the men were more interested in the woman’s money than in her.

lol, probably a lot more than 2 instances…
