Musically overrated:
Lil’ Jon. That’s not even music. Seriously, how the hell is that music? Lil Jon just gets drunk off his a** and jumps around yelling.

But he’s pretty good for entertainment value, I guess.

Overrated:Fall Out Boy, Blink 182 and any side project from them, coldplay

Underrated: I second Streetlight Manifesto, dredg (but they seem to be getting attention now days), Isis.

are you serious ???

ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!!

PS It’s Zeppelin.

PSS Some say Metallica is overrated because not all their albums are great. The same is true of Sabbath. They declined in the post-Ozzy years and even the last albums with Ozzy (like the incredibly awful ‘Technical Ecstasy’) were poor. Still not overrated, imo, because of the masterful works of their early years. They still put the heavy in metal, so should get credit for that. But having ALL perfect albums is not a prerequisite for being held in high esteem.

Christina Aguilera underrated and Tool overrated? What particular brand of hash are you smoking, friend?

I think basically most popular rappers now are completely overrated. American rappers on the whole were better back in previous decades. I don’t know a lot of underground rap, but I do know artists like Aesop Rock and MC Solaar (from France) are REALLY amazing and no one knows about them.

Sublime is also underrated. They have tons of fans, but I think on record they have been written off as just a stoner band with no real contribution to music. With their lyrics, Brad Nowell’s vocal abilities and their ability to blend music styles they were undeniably one of the best bands of the nineties and certainly worth noting.
