it’s coke…live with it

notambi Actually, Samsung probably has a higher brand awareness than Hyundai (according to Interbrand, which rates strength/value of brand names, Samsung is the 3rd highest Asian brand, after Toyota and Honda, and ahead of Sony) being the largest producer of televisions. It has large market shares in TVs, cameras, cellphones, appliances, etc. in the US, Europe, the Middle East, China/India and South America. (Interbrands rankings doesnt mean that the brand is the most recognized, just that it has the most value.)

But hands down, the most recognizable brand name is Coke. Small cities and villages in Africa, India, China, South/Central America are not going to have any McDonalds franchises while they pretty much are all certain to have stores/vendors selling bottles of Coke (in the glass bottles).

Colgate is also a strong contender (much better known overseas than Crest with a significant presence in South Asia, Africa and South America), but still behind Coke, as may be Marlboro.

Budweiser? There are many parts of the world which doesnt imbibe beer (esp. American p*ss water), plus, Budweiser in Europe is known as a Czech beer brand and A-B is prohibited from marketing Bud outside of North America (i.e. A-B Budweiser is marketed as “Bud” in France and elsewhere, and "Anheuser-Busch B in Germany).

Microsoft? Much of the worlds pop. still doesnt have access to computers.
