^I think the biggest problem today is that people see “single-ness” as a disease in this country. Sure, I along with most people want to be married and have a relationship with someone, but there’s no rule that says that we “have to”.

The point of a relationship in my opinion, is that the man is supposed to pursue the woman and make her feel beautiful and loved. This guy isn’t in the act of pursuit if he’s having her mother find “romantic partners” for him.

The major biological drive to procreate? I’m sure it’ll kick in eventually… But, joking aside, I do agree that there seems to be a lot of pushing people to be in relationships. I mean, I’ve been in a relationship for over a year now, but you should have heard people a couple years ago when I told them I wanted to be a Catholic priest. Lots of assuring me that I should have kids, especially from my mother (who also said she wanted grandkids, haha). If a person is obviously unhappy with their situation, sure, try to help them out. If they’re happy and it’s what they want, leave them to it.

You sure you qualify as a MYOB parent, with the cc matchmaking efforts? ;)

I aslo saw that clip on the Today show last week, but had to get to work before the segment aired. If he was gay, I doubt he’d have put himself in that position-- on a national tv show.

While it sounds like ours would be a good match, with many similarities, mine are also DS’s. Older one just accepted a new job and will be relocating from current gf. Younger s is closed mouthed so if he has a gf we dont know about it (he did have one lat semseter-- never said a word…)

I don’t care how great a guy looks on paper, “Mom making a dating site for him and guy being okay with this” would send me running for the hills. DO NOT WANT.

^disagree. I think this means he is open-minded.
They say you can tell what kind of a husband your man will be by the way he treats his mother.
My own daughter (27 yr, history buff who loves to travel and hasn’t been on a date in a year, or two) would kill me. lol

“If he was gay, I doubt he’d have put himself in that position-- on a national tv show.”

Au contraire. If he doesn’t want his mom to know, or doesn’t want to realize it himself, proclaiming his straightness on national TV makes is classic overcompensation.

Yup, I sure do like girls, mom, certainly do, can’t get enough of them!

Is the site free?Is there advertising? Maybe they figured this is a great way to make some money.
Don’t think any of my kids would go for me finding them dates. At least at this point in their lives.
