Move-in Day and Books

So move-in is approaching. I hear the lines in traffic during move-in day is absolute hell. Does anyone know where to check in? I still don’t know where to go. Should I just go check in at my dorm to get my keys?

Also, classes will begin on the 23rd and I still haven’t bought my books because my schedule still needs a little tweaking. Anyone else not purchased their books yet?

Your RA will be at a table outside your dorm. He or she will give you your key and get you checked in.

-FreakedOut

People in the know typically don’t get their books till after the first day of class, and often buy them online or used instead of paying the prices that the UVA bookstore charges.

Move-in day wasn’t bad at all last year. It went very smoothly for me, and I came during a “rush” period.

The thing is…I got ASSIGNED hereford…I’m scared of all the steps I have to climb…

Hereford? I’m sorry.

I remember those steps and the prison-like atmosphere…and I shudder.

Maybe I shouldn’t be saying anything because I heard Balz was on a hill and people likened it to a mountain.

I should be sleeping, but I am too excited.

Yeah, I lived in Dobie my first year (right by Balz) and that was crappy.

Im living in gooch this year, anyone lived there before? not AS BAD as hereford right?
