<p>How do you study for MAO? My teacher always says to take practice tests, but it never seems to get me anywhere. I want my math side to stand out when I apply to top colleges. This means that I MUST state and national awards. Any advice?</p>
<p>On the National site I believe is the list of topics one should know for each subject. I would suggest you look for ones you don’t know, learn them, then practice those problems.</p>
<p>Get the subject book from Art of Problem Solving. They have been making books for competition math since the 1990s.</p>
<p>I’ll try both ways. I guess it still comes down to practice tests.</p>
