Wow…
Sad.
Wow…
Sad.
Oh wow - I just realized (reading the article above) it is December 7! A day that will live in infamy! I guess until something else happens. I have not seen anything in the online news related to Pearl Harbor.
Once again, Adams is one weird dude. We know his name but won’t release his name because we don’t want to tip him off that we know who he is. Uh, you just did.
I’d guess it buys more time for detectives to investigate if he was acting alone…
Was just at a party, I don’t think everyone is surprised at some of the reactions, but unfortunately these company’s are operating within the law, the CEO’s job is to increase profits. Most agree it’s a huge issue, there needs to be change, but this of course isn’t the answer. People are angry, some are furious, folks have lost their lives due to unfair policies. I was talking to a dad with 2 young adult children my kids’ ages, pretty left leaning, well educated, he spoke to his kids about the situation, and reminded them that 2 young people just like them just lost their dad. Violence isn’t the answer, but the powers that be need to read the room.
I see they released more photos of him. Something is so odd with this. I feel like he is playing a game with the police… like whats with the Monopoly money?
Once again, please stay on topic and move the general discussions about health care, CEO salary, etc… to the health care topic in the PF.
TIA!
I wish I were a true crime sleuth and I would help track the shooter (and take the $10k reward money). I don’t get the community’ picking and choosing which crimes they think are worthy and that some vigilantes deserve to be protected.
My LEO son is on duty Friday - Sunday this weekend. I texted him that I expect him to capture the NYC assassin and not to let the family down.
It depends who they ultimately see as the bad guy and who they ultimately see as the good guy. A lot people see the CEO as the bad guy and the shooter as the good guy. Usually the victim is the, well, victim who deserves justice. In this case, the victim is seen by some as the real criminal whose company victimized many patients and the shooter is seen as the righteous avenger (I have seen him referred to as the Hooded Healthcare Hero online). I’m not supporting this view, but this is the view that determines how they are choosing which crimes they find worthy of trying to solve and why some are choosing not to pursue this crime.
These people are idiots, full stop.
The reward was increased to $50K from reports I read.
It looks like the FBI is offering “up to $50,000” and the NYPD is offering $10,000 - so a total of $60,000? Wonder why United Healthcare isn’t putting up any money - seems they could potentially sweeten the pot enough to turn someone? Or are they not allowed to do that for reason?
Source for reward amount:
IMO that reward boost will move things along.
Folks were saying this last night, why only $10,000, that’s nothing in NYC. Why isn’t his company offering a reward? Family?
