Music dual major for the B+ student- where?

<p>Our son, our 1st, is a violinist (not conservatory level) with a solid B+ GPA and average SAT’s. Looking for LAC’s or smaller U’s that have music departments that are up and coming and might be willing to part with $ for merit scholarships. Suggestions?</p>

<p>Have you checked out the Music Majors sub-forum? Even though a lot of the people there seem to focus on conservatory-type programs, they are knowledgeable about non-conservatory programs as well.
