I should probably make three different threads for my questions, but why not just clump them here all instead?

1) Is UB’s music program decent? I’m not looking to major in music, though I may minor in it.

2) How’s the food there (particularly the food on campus)?

3) I’m afraid that the Honors College may be full of nerdy, unsociable kids whose only desire is to get good grades (not to say that I’m not a nerd). Should I be worried about this?

Thanks for any help!

1) No idea. I took a music class last semester as a gen ed and hated it, but it’s not my cup of tea either.

2) Not bad. The dining halls are average, you have lots of choices and can eat as much as you want. Food is nothing spectacular but not bad either. The other on-campus dining locations (Bert’s, Putnam’s, Pistachio’s) are pretty good - there’s a lot to choose from and I enjoy it. Plus there’s more places in the Commons as well, although you can’t use your meal plan there.

3) Nope. I’ve found most people in the Honors College to be very sociable and not the stereotypical “nerd” crowd at all.

When is that buffalo wing fest?

Labor Day weekend (usually the weekend after the first week of classes).

Ehhhh… the famous “food” question…

Amazing and great for the first two months, then goes downhill very swiftly. All in all it is doable, but does indeed suck greatly IMO (could be a lot worse).
