It’s really hard to know what it might mean, and you really just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully, it’s good news!

Congrats on all of the acceptances! When did you hear from LIU? My daughter auditioned with them at Chicago Unifieds, but hasn’t heard anything. Also- were you rejected from NYU Tisch or Steinhardt? My daughter applied to Steinhardt and had her audition and they sent an email this week saying that she had until the 15th to modify anything on her application and then they would be making decisions.

We have not heard back from them! Academically accepted, but still waiting on the MT acceptance.
SAME and it’s SO STRESSFUL! MMC actually called my daughter yesterday congratulating her on her acceptance and asking if she had questions; she spazzed thinking it was acceptance into MT but it was just academic (which she has known for 2 months). What a LET DOWN! Did they say if it would be ph call? Letter? Something on the student portal? Thanks and good luck!
Hi! You will get an email from admissions saying there has been a status update in the portal. From there it will be a letter from the performing arts department with a decision! Best of luck!

Does anyone know how many spots MMC has this year for their MT program? I am curious how many acceptances have already gone out!
We were there for auditions last weekend. I think they said they have around 35 spots for this year’s MT class.

You can find the Instagram pages of each MMC MT class. They list each member as well as if they’re cast in projects. Unless somehow I’m reading it wrong, they admit a ton of kids. 57 are listed for their class of 2028. 73 for 2027. 82 for 2025. This is one of the reasons we canceled our audition at MMC after receiving an acceptance.

The caveat is the class of 2025 was a really weird year due to Covid. Many of the schools ended up with a bloated class due to kids the year before deferring and not knowing what the yield would be for the second Covid year with all auditions on line. My daughter isn’t at MMC but her program was also overfilled that year. It’s also curious with MMC becoming a part of North Eastern, if that’s having an impact on how big of a class they are aiming for. It is definitely a bigger program though (I personally think there are pluses and minuses to bigger programs, butt it all depends on what you’re looking for).
USC Musical Theater audition is for 2 days this weekend. It seems kids have to go both days. Anyone knows if all the kids passed prescreen will be auditioning this weekend or only some of them?
